Page title: Terms and Conditions · Shopify slug: terms-of-service
1. Scope
(1) These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") define the basis for every purchase made through the online shop at zentro.com between the operator of zentro.com (hereinafter "ZENTRO", "we", "us") and the customer (hereinafter "you", "Customer"). Our catalogue encompasses goods in the home and garden categories.
(2) A consumer for the purposes of these Terms is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly unrelated to any trade or self-employed professional activity. A business customer is any natural or legal person, or partnership with legal capacity, acting in the exercise of their commercial or independent professional capacity when the contract is concluded.
(3) Any deviating, conflicting or supplementary general conditions presented by the Customer shall only become part of the agreement if their validity has been explicitly acknowledged by us in writing.
2. Contracting Party and Contact
The sale contract is formed between you and the operator of ZENTRO. Complete provider details are available on our Legal Notice page.
Customer support: contact@zentro.com
3. Conclusion of Contract
(1) The display of our home and garden items in the online shop does not represent a legally binding offer; it serves solely as a non-binding online catalogue.
(2) By clicking the "Buy" / "Place order" / "Pay now" button, you submit a binding offer to purchase the goods in your shopping basket.
(3) Acknowledgement of receipt and acceptance of your order are sent simultaneously — you will receive both immediately after submitting your order by way of an automatically generated email. Upon despatch of that confirmation email, the sale contract becomes legally binding.
(4) We retain the contract text and send it to you together with these Terms by email. The Terms currently in force are accessible at any time at zentro.com/terms-of-service.
(5) Contracts are concluded in the English language.
4. Prices and Shipping Costs
(1) All prices shown on the website are inclusive of the applicable statutory Value Added Tax. Any delivery charges are displayed separately during the checkout process.
(2) For shipments to countries outside the European Union and the United Kingdom, customs duties, local taxes and further levies may apply; these are the sole responsibility of the Customer.
(3) Full details of delivery charges and estimated shipping windows are provided on our Shipping & Payment page.
5. Payment Terms
(1) The following payment methods are available: credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer. We reserve the right to exclude individual methods in particular circumstances.
(2) The full purchase price is due upon conclusion of the contract.
(3) Where payment is made by credit card or PayPal, your account will be debited immediately upon completion of the order.
6. Delivery
(1) Goods are despatched to the delivery address supplied by the Customer. The applicable delivery windows are shown on each product page and throughout the checkout process.
(2) Should delivery prove impossible after three attempts, we are entitled to withdraw from the contract. Any payments already made will be returned to you without delay.
(3) Where force majeure causes a delay, the delivery period will be extended proportionately. We will notify you of any such development as swiftly as possible.
7. Retention of Title
All despatched goods remain our property until full payment of the purchase price has been received.
8. Right of Cancellation for Consumers
Consumers are entitled to a statutory right of withdrawal. Full cancellation details and the model withdrawal form can be found on our Cancellation Policy page.
9. Warranty and Liability for Defects
(1) The statutory provisions on defect liability apply. For consumers, the limitation period for defect-related claims is two years from the date of delivery.
(2) For second-hand goods, this period is reduced to one year from the delivery date.
(3) Should any item arrive with a defect, please contact us at contact@zentro.com.
10. Liability
(1) We accept unlimited liability in cases of intent and gross negligence, and within the framework of applicable consumer protection legislation.
(2) In cases of ordinary negligence, our liability is restricted to breach of a fundamental contractual obligation — one whose fulfilment is essential to the proper execution of the contract and upon which the Customer may reasonably rely. In such instances, liability is capped at foreseeable, contract-typical loss.
(3) Liability for injury to life, limb or health is not affected by the foregoing.
11. Dispute Resolution
(1) The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
(2) We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.
12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
(1) The contractual relationship is governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. In relation to consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as the protection conferred by mandatory provisions of the law of the consumer's country of habitual residence is not thereby withdrawn.
(2) Where the Customer is a merchant, a body corporate under public law or a public-law special fund, the courts at our registered office shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes arising from this relationship.
13. Final Provisions
Should any provision of these Terms be or become wholly or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining clauses shall not be impaired. The relevant statutory rule shall take the place of any void provision.
